Message to Our VI Food Tours Guests

Here at Virgin Islands Food Tours, we pride ourselves on keeping our guests first in all that we do. As of June 1st, the USVI has reopened to allow leisure travelers to visit our shores. We are excited to have guests back on island to experience our fun & delicious food tours. As such, we wanted to take a moment to share the latest information on how we are managing through the latest COVID-19 challenges and how you can still enjoy our tours during this time.

As traveling foodies ourselves, we fully understand that the growing uncertainty around coronavirus is causing many to rethink their planned trips to our beautiful island, especially those abroad. Below is an outline of the safety measures we’ve put into place to keep you, our employees and our tour partners safe.

  • We have limited the number of guests allowed per tour to 6 people.
  • All guests are required to wear masks when inside our restaurant partners’ establishments.
  • Each guest will now be offered hand sanitizer prior to each food tasting and will have frequent restroom access to wash their hands.
  • All employees are washing and sanitizing their hands throughout each tour.
  • We are sanitizing “high-touch” surfaces often and so are the restaurants we visit.
  • Our team is staying informed and educated on the developments and following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and USVI for prevention, sanitation and hygiene.
  • If you’ve already booked tickets for our Taste of Twin City Food Tour and feel uncomfortable keeping your booking, we are happy to reschedule your ticket to a later time or refund to an e-certificate (which never expire)! Contact us today and we’d be happy to help you.

Safety First, but don’t completely disrupt your daily lives
Rest assured that our partner restaurants and Food Tours are safe and will continue to operate as normal. Per the CDC, coronaviruses are spread from person-to-person through respiratory droplets. At this time, there is no supported evidence that COVID-19 is transmitted through food.

We’ve included this helpful infographic courtesy of USVI Department of Tourism to know what to expect when you visit. Remember a facial mask must be worn in all establishments in order to receive service. Be sure to follow the guidelines provided by our government officials in order to safely explore and enjoy your time on St. Croix.
